To be considered for teaching/educational assistant positions at the International School of Helsinki all applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  1. Minimally a Bachelor's Degree in Education (Master's Degree preferred)
  2. Teacher Certification/License
  3. Minimally two full years of teaching experience post degree and certification (PYP, MYP and DP experience preferred). This is applicable to teaching positions.

Candidate chosen for any position will need to present a clean criminal background check.

Current Open Positions:

Early Elementary Teacher

The International School of Helsinki is seeking to employ a full time lower school teacher for an Early Years (Age 4-6) or Grade 1 classroom. The ideal applicant must have at least a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university with a teaching qualification in early elementary teaching. Experience teaching in the IB Primary Years Program and/or Finnish Preschools along with a strong affinity for teaching young learners is strongly preferred. Applicants must be able to demonstrate proficiency in speaking, reading and writing in English. Please send a letter of interest and current CV to thereset@ishelsinki. Upper School French Teacher

The International School of Helsinki is seeking to employ an upper school French teacher (Grades 6-12) for a one year position during the 2019-2020 school year. The ideal applicant must have at least a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university with a teaching qualification in teaching additional languages. Experience teaching in the IB Middle Years and Diploma Programs along with a strong affinity for teaching this age range is strongly preferred.
